Growing up in the circus has taught me the value of hard work, discipline, and the importance of trusting my community. It also showed me that taking risks is essential because anything truly worth learning comes with the possibility of failure. I’ve carried those lessons into all facets of my life, from academics to performing, to athletics. Being part of the UCLA Cheer Team has deepened my appreciation for structure, virtuosity, and the dedication required to master even the smallest details. Like in the circus, you spend hours perfecting a single trick, a single stunt, or a five-minute act. It’s in that relentless pursuit of precision that I find purpose.
